Policy.
What happens to what you type into this site, what it keeps on your device, and the terms the work itself is done on. In plain words, because a policy nobody reads protects nobody.

The short version
- We use what you send us to reply to you. Nothing else.
- We don't sell it, share it, or put you on a mailing list.
- This site sets no cookies and runs no tracking script.
- Ask us to delete what we hold on you and we will.
What you send us
There are two forms on this site — the enquiry form and the review form. What you type into one is what we get: your name, the email address or phone number you gave us to reply to, and whatever you wrote in the rest of the boxes. Nothing is collected from you that you didn't type.
The forms are delivered by Formspree, which passes the message on to the studio's inbox. That's the only outside service this page is allowed to send anything to, and the page itself enforces it: the browser is told, in the page's own security policy, to refuse a send to anywhere else.
We keep enquiries for as long as we're talking, and for a reasonable while afterwards in case you come back to us. Ask us to delete yours and we'll delete it.
Reviews
A review you send is a message to us, not a publication. Nothing you write appears on this site until we've asked you and you've said yes — and if you later want it taken down, tell us and it comes down.
What this site keeps on your device
No cookies. There's one thing stored, and it's the appearance switch in the corner: when you choose light or dark, that choice is written into your browser's own storage under thackle-theme so the site doesn't forget it on the next page. It stays on your device, it is never sent to us, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.
What the server writes down
Like nearly every web server, ours keeps a log of the requests it answers — the page asked for, the time, the browser's own description of itself, and the address the request came from. We use it to know roughly how many people visit and to see when something is broken.
It is worth being clear about what this isn't: there is no analytics script in this page, no third-party beacon, no advertising network, no profile of you built across sites, and nothing a consent banner would have to ask you about. The server is writing down requests it was already handling anyway.
Who else is involved
- Formspree — carries the two forms to us, and so handles what you typed into them on the way.
- Our hosting provider — serves these pages, and so sees the requests described above.
That's the whole list. There is no fourth party, and nothing about you is passed to anyone for their own purposes.
Keeping it safe
The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type is encrypted between your browser and the server. The page is locked down so it can only run our own code and can only talk to the one form service — which is what stops a stray piece of pasted text or an injected script from doing anything on the page. We're a two-person studio, not a bank; we won't pretend a promise of perfect security is one anybody can make.
Terms of the work
These are the standing terms. Anything specific to your project — what we're building, when, and for how much — is what we agree with you in writing before starting, and that agreement wins wherever the two differ.
- A mock-up costs you nothing. If we show you what your site could look like before you've hired us, that's free and it stays free. Nothing is owed until you've agreed to a build.
- The ranges on the pricing page are ranges. We tell you which end of one you're at before you commit to anything.
- Half up front, half before it goes live. The domain's first year is included in the build; maintenance is charged separately.
- Payments aren't refundable. The half up front pays for work that starts as soon as you send it, so it isn't returned if you change your mind. You can stop a build at any point — you keep what's been done and owe nothing further.
- The site is yours once it's paid for — the code, the content, and the domain, on hosting in your name. The domain renews at whatever the registrar charges, with nothing added on top by us. Maintenance is optional and you can stop it whenever you like.
- What you give us stays yours. Your words, logos and photographs are yours, and you're telling us you have the right to use them when you hand them over.
- We ask before we name you. Nothing about your project goes on our work page until you've said it can.
Asking us about your data
Ask us what we hold on you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — any of those, at any time, and we'll do it. The quickest way is the phone or WhatsApp numbers on the front page; the enquiry form works too.
Changes to this page
If any of this changes, we change it here and move the date at the top. There's no archive of old versions — if the date has moved and it matters to you, ask us what changed and we'll tell you.
